YOU COULD BE THAT PERSON WHO SAYS, “WANT TO SEE MY GARDEN?”

You’d be like, “Oh, we need some tomatoes for dinner, could you step outside for me real quick? That’s a dear. And why don’t you cut some fresh flowers for the table while you’re at it?” This could be you.

I honestly thought I had a black thumb. My mom had the “growing gene” and it just skipped a generation. The end.

But I still wanted to grow something, especially raspberries and tomatoes. So I sure tried!

It wasn’t until after I found my gardening community that my garden really got amazing.

I could study and experiment for hours and years on my own and still be kind of stuck. But then I’d talk to an actual person and not only find the solution to my problem, but I’d leave with a million amazing ideas!

After my mom passed away, I was determined to keep her canning tradition alive. I started experimenting with a willing friend, determined to figure it out!

We had lots of “learning experiences” (Read: purple grape juice spilling down white kitchen cabinets..).

The canning tradition pushed me into the gardening tradition cause they just go together!

Now I grow a ton of our own food and it lasts us all year.

IF YOU WANT TO WIN AT GARDENING…
